Glee is here for the iPad!

With the new iPad app for Glee, you get to sing along with your favourite songs from your favourite show.  The app features several tracks from the show that have been professionally mastered and developer Smule, (the studio behind smash apps like I Am T Pain and Magic Piano)  have incorporated an all new pitch correcting technology to help enhance your voice.

iPad Apps – First Sales Analysis

App store analyst, Distimo has released some interesting data based on the first week of sales from the Apple App Store.  The major findings of their report are as follows:

• There are 2,385 apps available exclusively for the iPad.
• The largest category is Games with 833 titles (35%), followed by Entertainment (260) and Education (205)
• 83% of apps on the iPad are paid (versus 73% on the iPhone)
• The average price of all apps that are solely compatible with the iPad is $3.61 versus $3.55 for hybrid apps that also work on the iPhone
• Medical and Fitness apps are the most expensive for the iPad ($9.39)

Board Game Heaven

Although there will be a multitude of revamped iPhone games, as well as new apps developed specifically to benefit from the iPad’s bigger display screen, sometimes tried and tested is best. Mashable has a preview of a 99 cent app called Game Table featuring some stunning images of nothing more complex than Chess and Chequers. I love my Fieldrunners and I can play Super Monkey Ball all day, but reading this article made me want to dust down my en passant opening and work on my castling techniques.
